The website can switch visible text into Welsh without changing the underlying page layout, while the beta notice is honest about work still in progress.
Why it remains a beta
A large bilingual website needs more than direct word replacement. Navigation, buttons, help text, forms, generated app content and accessible labels all need to remain clear and usable.
A community invitation
Welsh speakers can report a mistake or volunteer to proofread. Feedback will be reviewed carefully, with clear standard Welsh used for technical, safeguarding and privacy content and a friendly South Wales tone where appropriate.
The same layout in both languages
Switching language changes words rather than rebuilding the page. This reduces the risk of Welsh users receiving a weaker or differently arranged service.
