Skills into opportunity

Scroll into the journey

One practical project can create many employability stories.

Move through four connected stages. The layout travels sideways on larger screens and becomes a simple vertical sequence on mobile.

01

Explore

Start with curiosity.

Ask questions, investigate a need and compare possible approaches.

02

Build and test

Turn an idea into evidence.

Plan, make, test, notice what did not work and improve the outcome.

Problem-solvingOrganisationResilience
03

Explain and progress

Tell the story clearly.

Describe your contribution, the decisions you made and what you learned, ready for a CV, application or interview.

Interview Practice App

Answer role-relevant questions by speaking and review a transcript to improve clarity, structure and evidence.

These tools support exploration and preparation. They do not make career or hiring decisions, invent experience or guarantee a job offer.

Funded programme

Award confirmed

£2,000 awarded to put useful tools into young people’s hands.

The Community Matters Fund supports immediate-use employability and STEM resources: the four career apps, the WJEC Design and Technology revision suite, printed guidance and responsible public access.

Some in-person activity may follow where a suitable partner, venue, staffing, safeguarding and delivery plan are confirmed. No session is advertised as confirmed until those arrangements are in place. Expenditure, feedback and delivery evidence will be recorded for monitoring.

Practical STEM into employability

Make something. Recognise the evidence.

Investigating, designing, making, testing and explaining can demonstrate problem-solving, planning, communication, resilience and teamwork.

Programme discussions start with the learner group, intended outcome, accessibility, safeguarding, venue, risk controls and evidence requirements. Delivery is scoped before it is promised.
