Commitment
The organisation is committed to equality of opportunity, valuing difference, preventing discrimination and harassment, making reasonable adjustments where practicable and challenging exclusionary behaviour.
Protected characteristics
The approved policy recognises the protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Discrimination based on a protected characteristic is not accepted.
Inclusive delivery
Activities should use clear and inclusive language, consider different learning needs and remove barriers where reasonably practicable. Venue, communication, technology, pace and support should be discussed during planning.
Digital inclusion
Online services should be designed with accessibility in mind and avoid unnecessary complexity. A digital service cannot be assumed to be accessible solely because it includes a theme or text-size control; testing and user feedback are also needed.
Raising a concern
Concerns can be sent to info@thehwbco.com. If the concern involves the Founding Director, it should be reviewed by a non-conflicted Non-Executive Director.
